Daily Painting 010 – Rose Colored Glasses & Pink Zen

I nearly missed today’s painting because we went to the harbor for the half the day and sat in the sun to wait for the arrival of the Sea Sheperd ships here in Bremen. The weather was just gorgeous, you couldn’t believe it is the beginning of october already.

After I came home it was nearly too dark to paint, but I just sat down, took my brush and my favorite colors and just enjoyed the moment, brushing almost like in a meditation, just watching the colors unfold. I really love today’s outcome. It’s so much more ‚me‘ again and it’s exactly what I love, the right colors, the way it’s painted, it makes me happy 🙂

Thing’s I’ve learned Don’t overthink it. Painting in a hurry can really be beneficial.

For the second painting I was inspired by Zentangles – really easy to draw geometric patterns. There are so many books about this, but basically it’s like Mandalas, you just draw or color shapes and forms to relax and let your mind drift. I always loved this triangle-pattern and I really love it on top of the painting as well. Made with gloss paint marker.
