Marginalized Series Part II

Hello lovely friends! I wanted to update you about my Marginalized series, but truth be told: I only really loved a few image from that series…

a and was too embarrassed to upload the rest. And then I was in my head about only posting a few images and kept procrastinating to post about it at all. Well, that’s the life of an artist right here. Sometimes you are out there producing the work of your life, sometimes you are working for months on paintings that just don’t feel right, don’t feel like you.
It sounds really funny if I read it back, but it can be depressing to have to live and work through it.

I wanted to share this anyway. One of my goals is to be more vulnerable in my blog posts. It’s so easy to always pretend like everything is just fine, but sometimes in art there is this plateau, where you have to push and push and hate it all, until you finally get over it and can start to climb again.
When everything I do hinges on creating work that is awesome and has to be shared, it’s extremely frustrating not to produce art I love to show around.

I’m going back now and continue to work on my Urban Jungle series. A few years in the making already, this one never really came to fruition, but is always on the back of my mind. I hope you guys follow me on my journey, read my updates from time to time. I’m so thankful for all your support <3.
And to all the other artists out there, I only have one piece of advice at the moment: Don’t give up – just try to change your perspective!

Love,
Franzi
